Took this up on the AT last weekend. Product was comfortable and seems very durable. I like that it has brass air outlets, no plastic to crack.

I bought the Airlite Sleeping Pad because I was visiting my son and his wife, and though they have a couple of rooms for guests in their new house, they haven't any spare beds, so I needed something to sleep on. I'm not much of a camper, largely because I don't like sleeping in a small space on a hard surface, and I was very happy to get back to a real bed after a week on the Airlite, but it was easy to blow up, kept inflated for my week-long stay, and allowed me to sleep reasonably well. Which is as much as I expect from a camping pad.
Actually, it was easy to blow up too far. I inflated it as much as I could, with the built-in foot pump, before the first night on it, and had to let some of the air out in the middle of the night in order to make it a little softer.
Since I used it indoors for only a week, I can't say how well the Airlite will hold up to prolonged use in a real camping environment. My daughter brought an old camping mat for me, but I knew that they usually stop holding air, so I ordered the Airlite and had it delivered to my son's house. Yep. That old mat held air through only half the night, and I had to blow it up. The brand new Airlite showed no evidence of any leaks, but only years of use will tell if that continues, and if the foot pump keeps working.

Not so comfortable in a hammock but it is does provide decent insulation if you just put a little bit of air in it. It is comfy when used on the ground though. I bought it when it was $20 cheaper...not sure if it's worth the current price. There are some other brands I would choose I think if I didn't purchase it for $50ish.
Comfortable, lightweight and plenty long! Heavy duty fabric seems to hold up well in terms of tears. It comes with a patch kit, and when deflated a bit so it has some "give" to it, it was very comfortable for this curvy gal. :-) Built in pump provides fast inflation, and two brass valves provide quick and complete deflation so it easily fits back in the carrying bag. Would recommend!
purchased this for my 14 yo daughter's camping trip with the school and it worked well for her. easy for her to use the foot pump, it stayed inflated thru the two nites (which is a feat unto itself!) and it was easy to deflat and repack. light-weight enough for my husband to take backpacking - he needs something with more cushion to sleep on since he is in his 60s! The only caveat is that the width is thin and if you move around when sleeping you may find that you wake up a bit off the side however that doesn't take away from how wonderful it is!

Our old air mattress started leaking air and we were looking for a replacement. The old one was large and very heavy. We were looking for something light and portable. This one fits the bill quite well. We are very happy with it! It is comfy and well made.
My wife and I just returned from a backpacking trip at Isle Royale National Park. We purchased these sleeping pads specifically for this trip. In the past we have used foam pads that although provided some insulation from the ground were too thin and uncomfortable. Also tried air mattresses that invariably would leaks after a few uses. These Airlite sleeping pad s are awesome. They inflate easily with the novel designed foot pumps. Seem to be sturdy, made of good material. Our traveling companions had new, expensive (more than twice the cost) REI pads. Every morning one of them deflated, leaving our friends to sleep on hard ground.
Although my wife and I are relatively small people we purchased the larger size pads. Glad we did. They still fit inside our two person tent, but allowed for tossing and turning in our sleep. I highly recommend these as an excellent product at a very good price point.

All as described by Fox, it's almost 3 inches off the ground and adjustable with the two brass outlet nozzles on the bottom end. Used my bare foot to pump it up and it took maybe 8-10 min. Easily gets emptied and rolled up to fit in carry bag per included instructions. Great for my old bones and so light weight compared to any older technology that provides same lift. Not the same as the old style air mattresses of....uh 40 years ago. Great fabric. I bought the Long because I wanted a full 24" width and it's not too long for me at 5'6" cause my big pillow will fit on it. Love having no pump, no batteries - ingenious design. Thanks Fox and Airlite.
Easy to blow up and perfect for small spaces.
This is much more comfortable than a sleeping pad! Well worth every penny.
