    Great for hammock or tent

Posted by AJ in NE Florida on 20th Jan 2020

I’ve used RidgeRest pads since I was a Boy Scout in the 1980’s, but finally decided to try a self-inflating pad. Bought this one to try for backpacking and it’s been solid - sturdy, easy to pack small, lightweight. Have also used in my Fox double hammock in cooler weather to insulate and it works great (vs. an underquilt which seems like a lot of fuss). It’s small - I’m 5’10’ and it’s just about exactly the right length for me, but if you roll around a lot you might want to go for a larger/rectangular pad. I’ve been a fan of Fox since the first hammocks we bought, this is just another positive experience for me to date.

    Super Comfortable

We ordered this as Christmas gift for my son. After initial inflate I took into kitchen to test on tile floor.
20 minutes later my son came in and woke me up, it was soooo comfortable. I was on by back, switched to side, could not feel the tile floor at all.
Can't wait for tent camp out next week. Trying to figure out how to convince my boy to use my old air pad so I can use this new one!

    Light and comfy!

I love this sleeping pad! After the first inflation, it's super quick. I've used it a couple times now, only once outside though. I definitely plan on using it more this summer and am confident that it will suit my backpacking and camping needs perfectly. It's pack size is a little bigger than I was expecting, but it's still pretty compact, especially considering the pricing difference between this and similar sleeping pads.
I'll try to remember to update this review once I've used it more.

Before purchasing my Fox Outfitters Lightweight Series Self Inflating Camp Pad, I did a significant amount of research on many of the top Brands. I don't remember how I stumbled on to Fox Outfitters but am I glad I did! I was initially impressed with all of the positive reviews and made the decision to take a leap of faith in a company I knew nothing about and had zero experience with. Upon receiving my sleeping pad, I noticed that the quality of the materials and components used were of the highest quality and workmanship! The first time I used it, I could not believe the comfort level that was offered by a 1.5" pad! it felt like my entire body was completely off the ground, and suspended on a significant amount of cushioning.....Now for the twist. Upon the third use of my pad, I noticed a small bubble forming in the corner, I thought nothing of it and went to sleep. when I awoke the next morning, the bubble had grown significantly in size. So much that it made the pad award. For a second there, I thought to my self, "well now I'm going to have to fight with customer service, from a company I know nothing about." Nothing could've been further from the truth! I contacted customer service and within minutes I was completely astonished by the attention my issue was receiving. It literally took 3 emails to get this issue resolved! (it would have been 2 but I forgot to send a piece of information that was a little vital). Not only does this company offer a great product at a great price, but they stand behind there product 100%!! FOX OUTFITTERS, YOU HAVE MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE!!!!

    Light and warm

Posted by Jeff on 27th Oct 2015

I used this backpacking in the Adirondacks a couple of weeks ago. It is very light and compacts exactly as seen in the video. Easily comparable to products from other brands that cost much more. It was a cold night (about 20 degrees) and the pad kept me warm from below. I could feel a huge difference between the bare ground and my pad. I highly recommend!

Every night set up camp in a different location with BSA Venture Crew This Pad was easy to inflate, and get great support for my old body after being on the river for 5 nights. It actually is better that my Thermarest pads that i own. very easy to roll up and put into the supplied pull string bag each day. Thanks for a restful trek.
